Super Bowl is over, and maybe you were lucky enough to have the right numbers in the right boxes.

Ash Wednesday (Feb. 22) came quickly, and we are now in the heart of our Lenten season. One of the great things about Lent is that it doesn't end on Good Friday...it ends on Easter. The same with Jesus. If it was over on Good Friday, that would have been a waste of a young man's life.

However, we know that we are "Easter People." We are believers in the fact that Jesus died for us and the world, and made it possible for us to enter the kingdom of heaven. In gratitude for that, we do something special during Lent. That is the purpose of this season of preparation for the miracle of Easter. As members of KSKJ, we are faith-filled people, and we place our hope in the Lord.

My prayer for you during Lent is that you always remember that "It is only Friday, but Sunday's coming."
